The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Polpetta is Steve Saka's distinctive interpretation of a premium mixed-filler or “Cuban sandwich” cigar. Measuring 4 x 48, Polpetta is handcrafted in Nicaragua using carefully selected trimmings generated during the production of several of DTT's premium Broadleaf blends, including Mi Querida, Mi Querida Triqui Traca, Mi Querida Black, Umbagog and Red Meat Lovers.

Rather than treating these premium cuts as ordinary scraps, Dunbarton carefully sorts and selects the tobaccos it wants for Polpetta, combines them with two long-filler leaves, secures the bunch with a Mexican San Andrés Negro binder and finishes the cigar with the outside cuts of premium Connecticut Broadleaf. The result is a compact, rich and robust cigar delivering impressive flavor at an accessible price point.
