The Plasencia Cosecha 149 Azacualpa Toro is part of the acclaimed Cosecha 149 series, celebrating the Plasencia family’s 149th harvest, collected in 2014 and patiently aged for over a decade. Named Azacualpa after one of the farms where the tobaccos were cultivated, this cigar exemplifies the family’s tradition of producing exceptional, well-aged Honduran blends.
This 6 x 52 Toro is handcrafted in Honduras with a dark Honduran wrapper from Olancho San Agustín, a Honduran binder, and a filler blend of tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. Medium-to-full in body, it opens with rich notes of earth, dark chocolate, and cedar, followed by layers of molasses, raisins, black pepper, and roasted coffee. Its toro format allows for a slow, evolving smoke that highlights the elegance and depth of the vintage tobaccos.
